Frequently Asked Questions

Clothing Fit / Sizing

Please reach out for questions regarding fit. The most accurate way to determine fit is by checking the measurements. I recommend comparing the garment's measurements with your own as well as with the measurements of a similar piece of clothing you already own.

Clothing Measurement Guide

Measurements are listed in full. They are taken with the garment lying flat, from seam to seam, and then doubled for circumference where appropriate.

+ Chest: across armpit to armpit seam
+ Waist: across smallest part of waist or across back waistband
+ Hips: across fullest part of hips (8-10" below waist)
+ Shoulders: one shoulder seam to the other
+ Sleeve: top shoulder seam to cuff
+ Length: top of garment to hem at longest point
+ Rise: center crotch seam to top of front waistband
+ Inseam: center crotch seam to hem
+ Thigh: across thigh just below crotch

+ Base Length: edge of heel to tip of toe
+ Base Width: Widest part of base of shoe
+ Heel: bottom to top
+ Boot Height: top of heel -> top of ankle

I recommend hand washing for the non-denim, non-military items. The majority of pieces can be washed and dried normally. I would avoid using bleach on the Victorian pieces at is will compromise the fabric in some cases.

fab! amazing how fast these shipped given current circumstances. so happy with my purchase <3

I’m 5’9 and these are perfect length to wear cinched at the ankles or roll up. All the ties make this piece versatile and fun!

These are the best! I may never take these off. :)

Really fun and easily wearable vintage. Arrived in great condition, and feel quite durable. Most of these seem to be the same size, and I can say they definitely fit with room on a 12 (could prob go up to a 16?) and the legs are wide so no issues for bigger thighs (as can sometimes happen with vintage menswear that’s cut very straight). They could of course be adjusted much smaller too as described. I love all the details, like the cargo pocket on one side only and all the ties, and the deep sort of neutral toned shade of navy it’s dyed to. They shipped promptly, and I was notified ahead of time about when they would be hemmed and when they would ship. Very glad to have a second lovely piece from Rawson ♥️
